We collect or use the following personal information for research or archiving purposes:
We collect or use the following personal information to comply with legal requirements:
We collect or use the following personal information to protect client welfare:
We collect or use the following personal information for recruitment purposes:
We collect or use the following personal information for dealing with queries, complaints or claims:
We collect or use the following personal information to verify the identity of clients:
Refer a Colleague. If you take part in our Refer a Colleague scheme, as a client or as someone who has spoken to us about your own settlement agreement, we keep your personal referral code, a record of the scheme emails we send you, how many people contact us through your link and whether their referrals qualify, and the gift cards we send you. We do this under our legitimate interests in running the scheme and rewarding referrals.
Referral links. When someone opens a Refer a Colleague link, we count it, so that we can see how many people each link reaches. We do this using a scrambled identifier made from the visitor’s connection and browser. We do not store the connection address or browser details themselves, and we do not use a cookie. The identifier is deleted after 13 months. We do this under our legitimate interests in understanding how far our referral scheme reaches. If you would rather not be counted, switch on Global Privacy Control in your browser before opening the link; your visit is then never counted. Because we keep no connection address or browser details, we cannot pick out a particular person’s visit afterwards. For any questions, email privacy@settlementagreement.com.
Enquiry forms. When you send an enquiry through a form on our website (a callback request, starting your agreement or our calculator), our website passes it directly to our Zoho CRM account. Zoho holds it in its EU data centre and handles it for us under its data processing agreement with us. We also create a “Web Enquiry” record in Zoho. It shows which form you used, which page you were on, when you sent it and whether Zoho received it. We use it to reply to you and to make sure no enquiry is lost. The lawful bases are the ones listed below for dealing with queries, complaints or claims.
Where you came from. The Web Enquiry records the page you were on when you sent the enquiry, the website that sent you to it, any campaign details in the link (UTM source, medium, campaign, term and content) and any Refer a Colleague code. We do that in our legitimate interests in knowing which campaigns and pages lead to enquiries. If you have also accepted advertising cookies on our cookie banner, we add the click identifiers that Google and Microsoft put on advert links (GCLID, GBRAID, WBRAID and MSCLKID) and your Google Analytics client ID, and the campaign details can come from an earlier visit. We use those to see which marketing leads to enquiries, and we rely on your consent for them. If you have not accepted advertising cookies, we send no click identifiers and no Google Analytics client ID, and we store nothing on your device for any of this. We keep a separate record for each enquiry you send.
Cookies that hold advertising details. When you accept advertising cookies, we set a cookie called sas_attrib. It keeps the campaign details, click identifiers and any ref value from the link you arrived on, for up to 90 days. Our tag manager also sets five cookies for 90 days: gclid, refcode, reftype, ga_client_id and ga_session_id. They hold the Google click identifier, any Refer a Colleague code and its type, and your Google Analytics client and session IDs. These cookies let us attach the details to an enquiry you send on a later visit and fill in the hidden fields of our forms. We do not set any of them until you accept advertising cookies. You can withdraw your consent at any time through the cookie settings (see our Cookie Policy) and you can delete the cookies in your browser.
Google Ads. If you arrived from a Google advert and accepted advertising cookies, Zoho’s built-in Google Ads connection tells Google when that click led to an enquiry or a closed case. It sends the Google click identifier and, for a closed case, the value of the case as recorded in our CRM. We rely on your consent. Google LLC is listed below as a processor and in the table of transfers.
Microsoft Advertising. If you arrived from a Microsoft advert and accepted advertising cookies, we tell Microsoft Advertising when that click led to an enquiry and, later, when it led to a won case. Each day our Zoho CRM sends Microsoft the click identifier (MSCLKID), the name of the conversion, the time and, for a won case, the value of the case as recorded in our CRM. We do not send your name, email address or phone number. Microsoft uses this to measure how well our adverts work. It also uses data from its advertising services for its own purposes, as its Privacy Statement explains. We rely on your consent. Our website also runs Microsoft Advertising’s tracking tag (UET). It sets cookies when you accept advertising cookies and not before. It does not load until you accept advertising cookies.
Call tracking. If you accept advertising cookies, our call tracking provider, WildJar UK Ltd, sets a cookie to link a phone call to the visit to our website that it came from. For the visit, WildJar collects your IP address, browser details and the pages you viewed. For the call, it collects the caller’s phone number and the name shown on caller ID. WildJar acts for us as processor, and the WildJar group stores the data in Australia. We use this to see which advertising leads to calls, and we rely on your consent for the cookie.
Booking and cookie choices. You book a consultation through Calendly on our booking page. Calendly’s booking window loads when you press “See available times”, and Calendly receives what you type to book. If you have just sent us an enquiry, the booking page fills in your name, email address and phone number from your browser’s session storage, which is cleared once used. They are not put in the page address. Our cookie banner is provided by CookieYes. It keeps your choice in a cookie on your device and keeps a record of your choices on its servers, so that we can show what you agreed to.
